Family Ministry Administrative Assistant


Job Title: Family Ministry Administrative Assistant 
Status: Part-Time (M-Th 9am-3pm - 24 hrs/wk) 
Supervisor Title: Children’s Ministry Director and Student Pastor

Job Summary:
The role of Family Ministry Administrative Assistant at Currey Creek Church is to assist the family ministries departments with organization and administrative duties. This assistance includes but is not limited to event organization, special project coordination, website upkeep, event/program registration, promotional requests, ministry calendar keeping, and meeting agendas/notes. 

General Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Student Pastor and Children’s Ministry Director in the execution of administrative duties for the ministries, handling all administrative duties assigned by family ministry heads for any/all special events and regular programming. 
  • Create and maintain a family ministry promotion calendar, submitting all relevant forms. Coordinate with other church ministries on all family ministries programming and communicate back on all church-wide programming and events.
  • Create and maintain any registrations for family ministry events and programs. 
  • Keep family ministry webpages current: pictures, data, calendar, links, etc.
  • Maintain individual records, groups, background checks and online training in Rock for each ministry. 
  • Coordinate care for families, as needed.
  • Assist with communications to volunteers and/or families.
  • Assist with thank you and birthday cards sent to volunteers, kids, and students.
  • Attend weekly Loop meeting and ministry team meetings.
  • Keep up to date on all software and forms used by staff, attending any appropriate trainings.
  • Order supplies and make copies for each ministry, as needed.

Required Prerequisites for This Position:
  • At least two years of administration experience
  • Ability to keep confidential and sensitive information
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically Microsoft Office products
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • A teachable heart that is willing to learn and improve in their position
Preferred Prerequisites for This Position:
  • Experience working with children and students
  • Experience working on a church staff
