ABOUT THE MISSION:
Hill Country Daily Bread Ministry partners with local churches to connect believers with local people in poverty and need. HCDBM is a faith-based, regional ministry that provides physical, emotional and spiritual support to more than 8,200 people living in poverty in the Texas Hill Country. It is hub of community resources, services and supplies that are delivered directly to homes by mentors—thousands of trained volunteers from more than 170 ministry partners and agencies. In addition to food and basic household necessities, mentors bring hope, encouragement and the message of Jesus Christ to those who need it most.
HCDB provides food boxes to be delivered by mentors to their “mentee” twice monthly. The food box helps open the door to relationships. It is through these caring friendships that lives are changed for Christ. Mentors can help hurting people break the cycle of poverty and take steps that lead out of it.
HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED:
- Serve as a mentor
- Help prepare and distribute food boxes
- Volunteer for events and fund raisers
