Do you remember when Peter preached at Pentecost, and 3,000 people were cut to the heart, and gave their lives to Jesus?

Imagine if that happened again at Easter on the Square? We are praying that God would move among us and that many people would believe and be baptized on Easter Sunday. We encourage you to continue investing (spending time with one another, serving, encouraging, and presenting the Gospel) and inviting (asking to study the Bible with one another, calling someone to repentance and to belief in Jesus, asking them to join you on Easter Sunday).

A Praying Church March 23 - April 5

We are taking 14 days to seek the Lord through prayer and fasting. We pray that through the witness of our church—as individuals and corporately—we would see God bring many people to faith at Easter in Boerne. Over the 14 days, we will be praying that God shape us into the church He calls us to be and that He would save the lost.

What fasting is: A dedicated time of self-denial where you seek the Lord in a dedicated fashion. You are choosing to enter a state of physical dependence to represent the constant need for the Lord spiritually.

What fasting is not: It’s not a form of punishment or asceticism. It is not a manipulation of God’s hand.

Three Levels of Participation

(Choose One)

Level 1 – Give Up One Food or Drink

  • Pick one daily item to lay down for the whole two weeks (examples: soda, sweets/desserts, alcohol, sugary coffee drinks).
  • Eat your normal meals, but stay consistent in giving up that one item as an act of worship and self-control.

Level 2 – Fast From One Meal Each Day (16/8 Style)

  • Choose one meal (most people find skipping breakfast easiest) and keep it the same each day.
  • Example: First food at 12 pm, last food by 8 pm → about a 16-hour fast and 8-hour eating window.
  • Focus on two solid meals in your window, with good protein, whole-food carbs, and fats.

Level 3 – One Meal a Day (20–22 Hour Fast)

  • Aim for 20–22 hours without calories, with a 2–4 hour eating window (for example, eating only between 4–7 pm).
  • This is not about perfection; some days will be harder than others. Use hunger as a cue to pray and refocus on the Lord.
  • Make your one meal intentional, unhurried, and built around high-quality protein.

In conjunction with the fast, we will provide a 14-day devotional to accompany it.

Prayer is a two-way conversation. We hear from the Lord through His Word and His People, and then we respond to Him with pleas, intercessions, requests, and thanksgiving. Each day of prayer, you will have a short Scripture reading, followed by a prayer prompt to focus on for the day.

Good Friday Friday, April 3

We gather to remember the depth of Christ’s sacrifice and reflect on the love that led Him to the cross. As we honor Good Friday, we pause in reverence and gratitude, recognizing the hope and redemption His suffering has brought to us all.

Prayer on the Square Saturday, April 4

Prayer on the Square is an opportunity to prepare our hearts for Easter worship in Boerne. We are asking the Lord to move in our midst so that many people would experience the Holy Spirit's conviction, come to faith in Christ, and be baptized.

There will be a short time of prayer and large group prayers, and then you can walk around the square with guided prayer points for Easter in Boerne.

After this time, we invite everyone to join our Door-to-Door team as they share the Gospel on Boerne's Main Street. Whether they're a shop owner or an out-of-towner, we want to invite all to attend our Easter service and hear the good news of Jesus Christ.

Easter Sunday Sunday, April 5

Let’s celebrate our Risen King on the Boerne Town Square!

This year, we are encouraging everyone to invest and invite. We want to proclaim the name of Jesus in our city, so that all may know the freedom found in Him.

Our Easter service runs a bit longer than normal. Please plan accordingly and come prepared to celebrate and worship together!

Are you ready to take the next step in your faith and be baptized? Contact the church office at 830-755-8806 to set up a meeting with a pastor!

All pastoral meetings must take place between March 16th and March 26th. We will not be accepting requests after March 27th because our pastors will be preparing for Easter Sunday. We will encourage people to sign up for baptisms by May 17th.

Do you need special assistance parking (handicap, elderly individuals, etc.) for Easter on the Square?

Parking Registration

Every year, the Lord blesses us with rain, and in years past, the skies have opened so we could continue celebrating on Boerne Square.

However, if the weather is inclement, we will move our service to our Main Campus. This will be decided the night before or the day of, depending on the severity.
