Serving Boerne

Currey Creek is committed to partnering with more than 10 local ministries meeting specific needs in our community.

Whether you are called to help the poor, homeless, or orphans or work with women or youth, we can connect you with a ministry where you can serve. We believe as the body of Christ unites across our community to serve “the least of these” we can make a powerful impact in Boerne and beyond.

Hill Country Daily Bread is a Christian ministry that serves as a toolbox for Hill Country churches and communities to transform the lives of neighbors in need. Through mentoring and case management for adults and at-risk youth, basic needs are met with much more than food and material resources; they are met with relationships that transform lives with the saving power of Jesus Christ.

Roy Maas Youth Alternatives-MeadowLand campus, Boerne is a long-term residential treatment facility for boys and girls whose lives have been scarred by abuse, parental desertion, family strain and emotional turmoil. Most of the children struggle with serious emotional and behavioral issues. Based on the principles of respect and responsibility, Meadowland is committed to providing a structured, consistent, loving environment for children in crisis.

Currey Creek serves the Maas Cabin (girls ages 6 to 17) and the Poston Cabin (boys ages 14 to 17) at Meadowland. Two teams from Currey Creek meet once a month for an hour and a half with the children. We share a meal, play games, make crafts and have devotional time. Currey Creek works to establish a loving, consistent presence on the campus by sharing the love of Christ and a message of hope with the boys and girls and staff that works with them.

Refuge of Hope - Aslan Child Rescue

The mission of Refuge of Hope is to help and encourage Christians to reach refugees living in our cities by loving and serving them with the love of Jesus. The refugees living in our midst come from different circumstances, cultures and religions that we sometimes do not fully understand. This can be intimidating to know exactly how to reach out and love them. Hussam Yazbek, a refugee from Syria, by God’s grace was brought out of the darkness of Islam and into the Truth, Love and Light of Jesus many years before coming to the United States. He has devoted his life to loving and sharing the Gospel with these suffering people. His desire is to see Christians build lasting relationships with Muslims through the genuine love of Christ.

It also serves and encourages one another in relationships, fellowship and community between volunteers and brothers and sisters in need. By out pouring love and acceptance Taking It to the Streets believes the ones we serve will see Jesus through us as we disciple them to become the people God purposed them to be. Matthew 25:40

The Vault Fostering Community

Vault is a community for foster families in the Hill Country area. We desire to help ease the burden by collecting necessities for families receiving placements with short notice. As we began to collect, sort and distribute items our passion grew for the greater needs that these families may encounter. When we stepped in and took a closer look, we saw people excited to change the life of a child, even if just for a short time. We cannot all be foster parents, but we can all be a part of ending the orphan crisis in some way.

Young Life

We accomplish our mission by ...Praying for young people. Going where kids are. Building personal relationships with them. Winning the right to be heard. Providing experiences that are fun, adventurous and life-changing. Sharing our lives and the Good News of Jesus Christ with adolescents. Inviting them to personally respond to this Good News. Loving them regardless of their response. Nurturing kids so they might grow in their love for Christ and the knowledge of God's Word and become people who can share their faith with others. Helping young people develop the skills, assets and attitudes to reach their full God-given potential. Encouraging kids to live connected to the Body of Christ by being an active member of a local congregation. Working with a team of like-minded individuals -- volunteer leaders, committee members, donors and staff.
