Planting Churches

Currey Creek Church was founded as a church plant, and church planting is thus in our DNA. Every month, a portion of missions funds is saved for a future church plant. In addition, a few of our missions partners are focused on church planting around the world. Please investigate these organizations to learn more and pray for the Lord to raise up church planters who will be sent!

Kosovo – Oazo Church

Oazo (“Oasis” in English) is a new church plant in the rapidly growing town of Fushe Kosova, near the capital city of Pristine. The strategy is to reach people through fulfilling the above felt needs, but Pastor Driton Krasniqi guides seekers as they learn that their biggest need is peace and fellowship with God in Jesus.

  • Pray that Oaza reaches Kosovar Albanians and disciples them for Christ.
  • Pray that the Krasniqi family is protected from religious extremism that would be against a public meeting place for Gospel proclamation.
  • Pray that many would come to improve their school and work prospects and would be transformed by the grace and truth of God.

Texas – The Bridge Fellowship

In March of 2018 during a staff meeting, John Free put a date down as a goal for Currey Creek’s first local church plant. In that moment, Jared Patrick’s heart jumped, and he knew that God might be calling him to lead this effort. Through prayer and seeking confirmation with the pastoral staff, elders of Currey Creek, trusted friends, and his wife, Jared felt confident that God was moving him in that direction. Over the next year of prayer and research, the vision for The Bridge Fellowship was born. The launch date is scheduled for September of 2020.
