Planting Churches

Currey Creek Church was founded as a church plant, and church planting is thus in our DNA. Every month, a portion of missions funds is saved for a future church plant. In addition, a few of our missions partners are focused on church planting around the world. Please investigate these organizations to learn more and pray for the Lord to raise up church planters who will be sent!

India - Grace City Church

Through Currey Creek’s relationship with Redeemer Dubai church in the U.A.E., we learned of a church planting partnership opportunity in southern India. One of Redeemer’s elders has answered the call of God on his heart to return to his roots and plant a church in the Kerala district of southern India. Grace City Church has been launched with two pastors, Binoi Samuel and Benjamin George (a Texas A&M graduate). Both Binoi and Ben are from India and together with their families have launched Grace in the quickly growing city of Kochi. Their goal is to grow a healthy Gospel believing, grace-filled church that will serve as a base for training pastors and planting churches throughout India. We are excited to be a partner in this exciting work and look forward to seeing what God does in this region of the world to make disciples and plant more churches.

New York - Radiant Church

Currey Creek became acquainted with Jason Lankford during the process of sending out Jared Patrick and The Bridge Fellowship. Jason was part of the Southern Baptist Convention assessment team that evaluated Jared for their support. He is a church planter at heart, having planted in Alaska before coming to work for the SBTC and has been called to plant again. Jason and his family have been training under The Salt Network’s church planting program in Ames, IA and have prayerfully identified Syracuse, NY as their location for planting Radiant Church along with a core group being sent out from Salt. Currey Creek is excited to be a part of this church plant that will target Syracuse University as well as the various communities in the city as God leads.

Texas - Bergheim Christian Fellowship

On January 9th, 2022, John Free announced Currey Creek’s second church plant, Bergheim Christian Fellowship. Executive Pastor Eric Cate, with his wife Karen, sense the strong call on their lives to plant this church and are thankful to have the support of both Currey Creek Church and The Bridge Fellowship. The Bergheim area is a quickly developing section of the Texas Hill Country and the growing San Antonio metro area, and the desire is to plant a Gospel believing, Gospel preaching non-denominational church that will grow with the community for generations to come. Would you pray for this new work?

Texas - Beyond The Cross

Javier and Maria Medina are on a mission to bring the Gospel to the Spanish speaking population of the Boerne area and to disciple them to maturity in Christ. It truly is a family mission as their three children partner with them in the work. Vanessa works in children’s ministry, Marco serves in video and recording communications, and Isabel staffs the sound booth. The Medinas want to bring Christ to the Hispanic community, not only through preaching and training those who attend their home Bible study and church services but seek them by visiting neighborhoods and communities of Spanish-speakers in and around their hometown of Boerne.
