Our vision is to grow disciples and expand the Kingdom through students in Boerne, Texas, by cultivating a community where God’s Word is preached and His people are set free. We aim to equip students to become mature followers of Christ through relational discipleship and faithful Bible teaching—so they are ready to give up anything, go anywhere, and risk everything for the sake of the gospel.

Our prayer for students is that as they graduate high school, their lives will reflect Romans 12:2—living transformed, counter-cultural lives surrendered to the will of God.

Upstream FAQ's Wednesday Nights

It’s generally understood that clothing should be modest and respectful of the church setting. This means avoiding overly revealing clothing or anything that might be distracting. In essence, the goal is to dress in a way that shows reverence for the church and the occasion.

Here are some general guidelines based on common church practices:

Modesty: Avoid clothing that is too revealing, such as low-cut tops, short shorts or skirts, or excessively tight clothing.

Respectful: Choose clothing that is appropriate for a place of worship and that shows respect for the gathering.

We recommend brining a Bible (Currey Creek uses the ESV translation but any Bible will work), journal and something to write with.

Yes, we serve pizza from Papa Johns on a first come, first served basis. We do provide gluten free on first come basis as well.

Upstream is 6:30-8:30, we start with dinner and fellowship then move into teaching and small group time.

Middle School 6th-8th Grade

MIDDLE SCHOOL UPSTREAM: Middle School Upstream meets from 6:30-8:30pm each Wednesday and includes games, food, and fellowship followed by corporate worship, a Christ-centered message, and gender-based small groups. It is our desire for students to develop strong relationships with one another and grow together in the image of Christ.

UPSTRE(AM): Middle School meets Sunday mornings during the 9:30 or 11:00am services for a message from God's Word. This hour-long time includes breakfast, prayer, and interactive group teaching centered on establishing a personal understanding of the Gospel, our individual role in the Kingdom of God, and our role in the Body of Christ.

High School 9th-12th Grade

HIGH SCHOOL UPSTREAM: High School Upstream meets from 6:30-8:30pm each Wednesday and includes food, fellowship, corporate worship, a Christ-centered message and gender-based small groups. High school students are challenged to take their faith outside the walls of the church and live as disciples of Jesus.
