ABOUT THE MISSION:

Currey Creek has been working with Abundant Life in San Fernando, Mexico for about 7 years. The purpose of this new mission is to evangelize the San Fernando area and the country of Mexico, and to train local pastors and churches to do the same.

The vision is to start and staff a church near an existing orphanage in San Fernando.

joe-garza-mexico.jpgJoe Garza is a retired Pastor, who has been in ministry for about 30 years. He pastored a church in Santa Rosa, Texas for 16 years. He is the founder of the orphanage in San Fernando, and is recognized as a pastor/leader by the other churches and pastors in the San Fernando area. The mission works with children at the orphanage to educate and train the children in the Christian life.

Abundant Life is in an area of San Fernando with 500 to 1,000 people within walking distance. They have a 50-foot tent that will seat 250 people, a 60 person chapel, dining facilities for groups, and an orphanage with facilities for 24 children. Abundant Life has been holding Vacation Bible Schools twice a year, and Sunday School each week. They have around 100 children attend VBS and 50-60 children and adults on Sunday mornings. They also have men’s retreats and revivals. They conduct ongoing pastor training for local pastors and are evangelizing the local areas. Mission trips are available for evangelism, building projects and Bible school.
